Extensions
Extension modules (plugins) are typically created by third-party developers and are intended to add additional features to the spreadsheet editor. Working with extensions is described in detail in the document “MyOffice Development Kit (SDK). Modules of extensions for MyOffice Editors. Programmer's Guide”.
To use an extension, do the following:
1.Get an extension file with the .mox extension from the developer.
2.Install the extension.
3.Run the extension using the Command menu of MyOffice Spreadsheet.

The extension file can be located in any folder on your computer. To install the extension, follow these steps: 1.In the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window that opens, click the Install button. 3.In the file manager window, select the extension file. 4.Please read the text in the Install Extension dialog box. If the window displays the message “This extension is ready to be installed. Do you want to continue?”, it means that the author of the extension is a verified developer and the extension is signed with a valid certificate. To view information about the developer certificate, click Show Details. To continue installing the extension, click Continue.
5.In the License Agreement window, please read the text of the License Agreement. If you agree to the terms of use of the software as set forth in this document, click Accept.
The Extension manager window will display the extension line. To view detailed information about an installed extension, click Details in its line. Upon successful installation, the “Installed” status is displayed in the extension line. To launch the extension, follow the steps described in the section below. If the extension version is incompatible with the spreadsheet editor version, its line displays the “ If the extension files contain errors, its line displays the “ To view the details of the error, do one of the following: •In the extension line, click Details. •Click the extension line. In the dialog box that opens, click Show Details. |
After the extension has been successfully installed, a command to run the extension is added to the Extensions Command menu section. To run the extension, in the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension Name > Command to run the extension. |
Enable or disable the extension
Once installed, all extensions are enabled by default. If the extension is enabled, the command to run the extension is displayed in the Extensions Command menu section. If the extension is disabled, the command to run it is not displayed. To disable the extension, follow these steps: 1.In the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window, in the extension line, click Disable. 3.Close the Extension manager dialog box.
In the Extensions section of the Command menu, the command to run an extension will no longer be displayed. To enable an extension that was previously disabled, follow the steps below: 1.In the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window, in the extension line, click Enable. 3.Close the Extension manager dialog box.

The file of the new version of the extension can be located in any folder on your computer. To update the extension, follow these steps: 1.In the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window that opens, click the Install button. 3.In the file manager window, select the file of the new version of the extension. 4.Please read the text in the Install Extension dialog box. If the window displays the message “This extension is ready to be installed. Do you want to continue?”, it means that the author of the extension is a verified developer and the extension is signed with a valid certificate. To view information about the developer certificate, click Show Details. To continue installing the extension, click Continue.
5.In the License Agreement window, please read the text of the License Agreement. If you agree to the terms of use of the software as set forth in this document, click Accept.
If the update is successful, the “Updated” status will be displayed in the extension line. |
To remove an extension, follow these steps: 1.In the Command menu, select Extensions > Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window, in the required extension line, click the 3.In the dialog box with the message “Are you sure you want to remove this extension?” click OK. 4.Close the Extension manager dialog box.
The command to run the extension will be deleted from the Extensions command menu. |
